That being said, sometimes without saying it, I attribute immortality to people I love and am shocked at anything that disturbs their place on my pedestal. And then on a bigger scale, I am reminded that my ultimate hope for all people must be their right relationship to God and that alone is sufficient.. not good health, or financial bliss or even happy days full of cupcakes and rainbows.
I recall the words of an old hymn that I love so dearly..
"My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. So don't be deceived by the greatest joys and pleasures here because the best is truly yet to come.. May you be living for Christ and your hope secured in the heavenlies with He alone who has the power to save!
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly trust in Jesus' Name.
On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand."
